హీరాబాయి బరోడేకర్

వేసవిని నీ కిటికీ బయటే నిలవరించింది.
ఆకుపచ్చని పత్రాలావరించాయి నీ ఆకాశాన్ని.

పువ్వుల్లో తొలిజాముల తేనెలూరుతున్నాయి
లోకం మెలకువని కాదని నీ కలలు గుసగుసలాడుతున్నాయి.

చాలా రాత్రుల తర్వాత వచ్చిందామె నీ కోసం
మంచురాత్రుల్లో వరికంకులు
మత్తుగా ఊగినట్టు
ఆమె లోలకుల మెత్తని అల్లరి.

నువ్వు చెప్పాలనుకున్నవేవో
గాలి తెమ్మెరలు ఊసులాడిపోతున్నాయి.

దావానలం చెలరేగిన కాలంలో
నువ్వొక నీలితరగని చూసావు.
దగ్ధప్రపంచం కోసం
నీకొక అమృతవర్షిణి దొరికింది.

ఇప్పుడు చెప్పగలవు నువ్వు
ఒకరి జీవితానందం
మరొకరి సంతోషంలో
వుందని.

Your window stalled the summer heat outside.
A green canopy covered your sky.

Early honey gathers in the flowers-
Ready for the bees once day breaks.
Your dreams still hold back the wakeful world.

After so many nights, she visited you.
With earrings tickling
Like grain stalks ripened in November.

Whatever you want to say,
The breezes have already whispered it.

You saw a trail of blue
In forests caught in fire.
You secured a rain of nectar
For the burning world.

Now you know-
One’s joy lies
in the joy of others.
