About
Born in a remote tribal village in the Eastern ghats in Sri Alluri Seetaramaju district, he did his MA in Philosophy from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
After working in the Telecommunications department at Rajahmundry from 1982-87, he joined the AP State Government as District Tribal Welfare Officer. Worked in the Tribal Welfare department in various capacities and got promoted to Indian Administrative Service in 2013. Worked as State Project Director, Samagra Siksha, and Commissioner and Director, School Education, and finally retired as Director, Tribal Welfare in 2022.
Authored and translated around 40 books, including poetry, short stories, literary criticism, travel writing, educational books, and philosophical writings. Received the Translation award from Sahitya Academi in 2008 for his translation of Ignited Minds by Dr. Kalam.
He currently resides in Hyderabad and divides his time between reading, writing, and interacting with writers, teachers, and social activists.
